An intensely moisturizing multilamellar emulsion cream that will mimic the phospholipid bilayer of your skin, offering prolonged hydration and slow release of active ingredients. It combines three different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid to deliver and retain moisture to varying layers of the skin to provide long-lasting and more profound hydration.

It is packed with superhero ingredients, including Messenger Peptides, Centella Asiatica and Pseudoalteromonas Ferment, Kakadu extracts, Niacinamide, and Nourishing oils of Perilla, Almond, Argan, Apricot, and Squalene accompanied by soothing allantoin, bisabolol and panthenol (provitamin B5).

Note: We added Centella Asiatica extract here since it has been shown to stimulate the production of hyaluronic acid and increase its moisturizing effect when combined in a formulation.

The Science behind the Formula:

Nicotiana Benthamiana Hexapeptide-40 sh-Polypeptide-76 is obtained from the plant Nicotiana Benthamiana. It is a plant-transforming Growth Factor Beta-2 (plant TGFβ2), also called the seed of youth of our skin, as it is implicated in the extracellular matrix protein synthesis and the production of epidermal lipids, improving skin integrity and protection. The aging process on the skin induced by internal and external factors (photoaging, hormonal aging, smoke, diet, stress) affects TGFβ2 levels and, therefore, its activity, which signaling is essential to sustain the skin in a healthy and functional condition and overall to support maintenance of a young appearance. It can boost collagen I production efficacy. 

Matrixyl™ 3000 are fragmented matrix peptides (matrikines) that can regulate cellular activity. Matrixyl™ 3000 features matrikines Pal-GHK and Pal-GQPR, which are messengers peptides for skin restructuring and repair. These peptides work together synergistically to help restore and maintain a youthful appearance in the skin.

Antarcticine® - glycoprotein from the Antarctic Sea with cryoprotective, restructuring, and antiwrinkle properties, helps the skin retain water, preventing cutaneous dryness, stimulates fibroblast adhesion and keratinocyte growth, regenerating tissues and enabling faster healing of wounds. Increases collagen type I and IV, as well as elastin, resulting in restructured skin and a reduction in wrinkles, reduces the depth of wrinkles, especially on the forehead and around the eyes.

SMART-VC-OS® - is a stabilized form of vitamin C with a high absorption rate. It has been shown to reduce melanogenesis (formation of age spots) at as low as 0.1% and eliminate age spots after 16 weeks at 10% concentration. Increases collagen synthesis at least twice as much as L-ascorbic acid and protects the cells against UV-B better than other esters of Vitamin C 

Centella Asiatica – Its active constituents are pentacyclic triterpenoids, which have regulating and activating functions, acting on the collagen in many organs. The major components of the skin are collagen types I and II. Skin aging is related mainly to decreased type I collagen levels, significantly affecting wound healing. Studies have shown that the main constituents of Centella Asiatica (Asiatic acid, madecassic acid, and asiaticoside) increase collagen synthesis. Additionally, it also improves the tensile strength of the skin.

d-alpha-tocopherol- is a nutrient that humans cannot synthesize and must acquire from plants. In conjunction with b-carotene (vitamin A), Vitamin E decreases the harmful effects of the sun and photoaging. D-alpha tocopherol provides a highly protective antioxidant activity in the skin, protects the skin barrier against environmental pollutants, and has repairing and regenerating properties.

Niacinamide – the active form of vitamin B3, is one of the best-studied cosmeceuticals. Clinical studies have shown topical niacinamide to be effective in improving skin texture and the appearance of hyperpigmented spots, with improvement in red blotchiness and the reduction of the severity of fine lines at 5% concentration. It has also been shown to stimulate collagen synthesis and ceramide production. This lipid compound contributes to the skin barrier’s functional and structural integrity, making skin more resilient to external irritants.

Squalene - squalene makes up approximately 13% of human sebum, decreasing with age.  Truly one of nature’s greatest emollients, squalene is quickly and efficiently absorbed deep into the skin, restoring healthy suppleness and flexibility without leaving an oily residue.

Panthenol – anti-inflammatory Provitamin B5 helps to soothe irritated or inflamed skin while also attracting moisture due to being a humectant, increasing the moisture retention of hyaluronic acid molecules in this formulation.

Rosehip seed oil – dry, readily absorbed oil high in EFA (essential fatty acids), which contributes to the oil’s anti-inflammatory and cellular regenerative activity and its ability to prevent TEWL (trans-epidermal water loss). Rosehip seed oils have shown an exceptional ability to reduce hyperpigmentation and the appearance of scars and to prevent photoaging. Since rosehip oil was established to address inflamed skin conditions, it is an appropriate ingredient for treating eczema and cheilitis (inflammation of the lips or dry, chapped lips). 

Perilla oil - A fine, ‘dry’ oil, which is easily absorbed into the skin, demonstrates anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and antioxidant activities due to being rich in polyphenols (particularly rosmarinic acid), triterpenoids (particularly ursolic acid) and abundance of linoleic acid. It contains ceramide precursors, which contribute to maintaining the skin barrier to protect against water loss. Excellent for treating aging skin.

Carrot seed oil - contains Vitamin E in large quantities. It is also rich in antioxidants, which help it fight free radicals and eliminate signs of aging. 

Allantoin - a soothing and moisturizing naturally occurring compound found in many plants. It helps to relieve dryness, itching, and redness; hence, it is suitable for sensitive and dry skin. It has been shown to promote wound healing. It possesses mild exfoliating properties that help to remove dead skin cells and encourage cell turnover, leaving brighter, smoother, and even skin. Anti-inflammatory that reduces inflammation and redness and is helpful for those with conditions such as rosacea or acne.

How to use:

• Apply morning and evening to clean skin after the mist/toners and water-based serums.
•  Our Tight and Bright serum should be applied after since that is an oil-based serum. This will increase the absorption of active ingredients in the serum through the multi-lamellar structure of this face cream.
